Last week we completed our amazing zoo art. We selected our favourite animal and drew it. We then painted a background and glued our animal to it. Finally we stapled some plants around our picture to look like the zoo. We love them.

 We also completed a week of learning about Matariki. We wrote stories about a legend and completed some cool art. Come in and look at our work.

Meet our fabulous star of the week Sam. He is fast becoming a star writer. Well done Sam!!

 Today we had a very special visitor. Azheemah's new baby brother came to see us. He is 5 days old and absolutely gorgeous. His name is Azaan. Mrs Ward had a big cuddle and she wanted to keep him. We asked lots of question about how to look after a baby. He needs lot's of Aroha, milk, and warm clothing. We found out he needs everything. He is too small to do anything. We just love him.

 Wow!! What a fantastic day!! We went to the zoo. Here we are waiting to look at the animals.

 Our first stop was the Rhino's. They were amazing. We were so lucky to see them.

 We were so lucky to see the tigers up close. Even the man at the zoo had not seen them drinking from the pool before.

We also went to the zoo classroom. The teacher called Halley told us heaps of things about Aroha and how they care for the zoo animals. We had such a fun day!!

Last week Room 19 had a wee visitor. His name is Oliver Pugsly Ward and we called him Op for short. We are learning about Aroha. We had to take him for a walk and we had to give him food. We also kept him warm and dry.
